Responsibilities
Our London Real Estate Litigation team is seeking an NQ to join the team.
You will enjoy a challenging and varied caseload as well as excellent professional development opportunities. The team is assisted by outstanding knowledge lawyers and dedicated support staff.
The department acts for a broad range of clients including;

• Commercial landlords and some tenants.
• Investors.
• Developers.
• Ground rent and other residential landlords.
• Social Housing organisations.
• Private individuals.

The firm operates a hybrid agile working policy. We expect 3 days in the office per week. Individuals can also apply for other flexible working options either at the time of recruitment or during the course of their employment.
Essential & Desirable Criteria
Experience of a range of commercial L&T, living sector and real property issues is sought including some or all of the following:

• Commercial and residential landlord and tenant including

• Issues arising out of the Building Safety Act 2022
• 1954 Act renewals (contested and uncontested)
• service charges
• rent recovery and forfeiture
• housing defects
• tenant insolvency
• alienation

• Real property disputes

• rights of light
• nuisance
• restrictive covenants
• easements

There are opportunities for involvement in other areas such as:

• Disputes relating to sale and purchase, development agreement, forward funding and agreements for lease
• Planning disputes
• Complex transactional support
