, is pivotal to delivering outstanding service and driving results for our growing client base and expanding market share.


We are seeking a highly experienced professional with deep expertise in the onshore wind sector, capable of navigating the unique challenges and opportunities within this dynamic industry. The successful candidate will be a trusted and respected figure, responsible for the strategic delivery of client business plans, overseeing the contract tender process, and shaping a high-performing team structure.


A strong technical background is essential, along with a thorough understanding of relevant legislation, planning constraints, and a keen interest in structuring and negotiating land acquisition deals.

As an Associate Surveyor you will:



Motivate, manage, and inspire a high-performing team to deliver land and property advice and services to clients, aligned with DM values. Set, manage, and regularly review team objectives in line with the company business plan and strategic goals. Take full ownership of the quality of work, financial performance, client satisfaction, and team outcomes. Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders, acting as the key point of contact and ensuring a first-class service. Lead the successful delivery of the client business plan, ensuring alignment with contractual obligations and performance expectations. Oversee the contract tender process and contribute to strategic decision-making. Design and maintain an effective team structure to support operational delivery and growth. Provide regular guidance and mentoring to the operational lead, supporting their development and performance. Hold regular team meetings and one-to-ones to monitor progress, encourage feedback, and drive continuous improvement. Monitor time recording and client reporting to ensure compliance, maximise billing, and meet or exceed financial targets while maintaining gross margin. Provide strategic input and ad hoc support on complex or sensitive projects, identifying opportunities for financial and operational improvements. Deliver supportive line management, recognising achievements, delegating effectively, and addressing challenges constructively. Report to the Delivery Lead on team performance, financials, and client satisfaction metrics.

The successful candidate will:



Have experience of the application and construction elements of a major project and be able to demonstrate experience of managing client relationships and finances to help deliver each client's Business Plan goals. Display clear commercial awareness and contribute to team and company growth by generating new work from new and existing clients through networking and cross-selling of professional services Lead by example, actively promoting the company's ethos and always engendering positivity to get the best out of people Actively support and participate in company groups, initiatives, events and socials Maintain and improve own expert knowledge and skills through company run and specialist CPD Ensure compliance with relevant legal, regulatory, contractual and organisational requirements and policies in own area of responsibility
