About The Role



We are looking to hire an Associate or Partner?level Valuation Surveyor to join our Student Property Valuations team. The team advises a wide range of UK and international clients across the Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA) sector.


The successful candidate will support existing client relationships, lead on valuation instructions, and contribute to the growth of the team. While UK?based, the role is expected to expand into mainland European PBSA valuation work over time. You will join a highly respected team of seven valuers, with strong opportunities for progression.


Key Responsibilities



Valuation & Reporting



Prepare high?quality loan security valuation reports for lenders. Deliver valuations for specialist and institutional fund clients. Undertake valuation instructions personally generated or allocated by senior team members. Ensure all reports are accurate, professional, and delivered within set deadlines.

Business Development



Generate new business and broaden the team's portfolio of instructions. Attend industry events to represent Knight Frank and build your personal market profile. Identify cross?selling opportunities across the wider business.

Client Care



Respond promptly and professionally to client enquiries. Maintain strong, ongoing client relationships and uphold KF's professional image. Ensure all work is handled with discretion and confidentiality.

Professional Standards



Build and maintain strong knowledge of the UK and European PBSA markets. Stay up to date with sector trends, press coverage, and relevant market activity. Maintain clear, well?organised files (both digital and physical). Adhere to all regulatory standards, including RICS requirements and CPD obligations.

Teamwork & Collaboration



Become an integrated member of the Student Property Valuations team. Work closely with colleagues across Research, Capital Markets, Investment, and other valuation teams. Share knowledge, support juniors, and contribute to team culture and performance.

Systems & IT



Confident use of: + Word
+ Excel
+ Circle / Circle Investor (valuation and reporting systems)

About You



Qualifications



Degree educated (relevant property discipline preferred). MRICS qualified and Registered Valuer (RICS VRS).

Experience



Strong valuation experience within commercial or residential sectors. PBSA valuation exposure is advantageous but not essential. Broad knowledge of UK real estate and investment markets.

Skills & Attributes



High level of accuracy, numeracy, and attention to detail. Strong written communication skills with the ability to produce clear, robust reports. Confident using property tech and valuation systems. Curious, analytical, and driven to investigate and validate information. Collaborative team player with the ability to build relationships internally and externally. Professional, approachable, and commercially aware.
