Ebenezer Support Ltd is committed to delivering high-quality adult social care services that improve the lives of vulnerable adults. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Manager to lead and develop a team of social workers and officers within our Adults Assessment service.

Job Overview


As a Team Manager, you will manage, motivate, and develop a team to ensure the delivery of effective, efficient, and high-quality services aligned with our organisational values. You will be accountable for service delivery, continuous improvement, safeguarding, financial management, and people management within your team.

Key Responsibilities



Lead and manage a team of social workers and review officers to meet performance standards and deliver excellent service outcomes. Set team priorities, allocate work, and ensure quality and continuous improvement in service delivery. Implement service innovations and improvements, monitoring performance and addressing any inadequacies. Provide expert advice and support on complex cases and maintain professional standards in line with best practice and legislation. Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are understood and adhered to by all team members. Manage allocated budgets, resources, and facilities ensuring value for money. Undertake full people management responsibilities including recruitment, induction, supervision, training, and performance management. Foster a positive team culture, promoting inclusion, equality, and wellbeing. Respond to enquiries, feedback, and complaints in line with agreed procedures. Collaborate effectively with internal and external partners to enhance integrated service delivery. Ensure compliance with health and safety and data protection regulations. Chair reviews, planning meetings, and case conferences as required. Deputise for senior management as necessary.

Person Specification



Proven experience managing social work teams within adult social services or a similar setting. Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff. Sound knowledge of safeguarding adults, mental capacity legislation, and social care best practices. Experience in financial management and resource allocation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building effective partnerships. Commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion. Ability to manage complex cases and provide professional advice. Competent in performance management, quality assurance, and continuous improvement. Resilient and adaptable with strong problem-solving skills.
