ABOUT THE ROLE

As an Attribute and Innovation Engineer you will collaborate with the Functional Manager - Front Seats to deliver our product ambitions and to shape our Beyond100 strategy.

This role is for an expansion of Seat Engineering resource within the Interior Engineering department for the Front & Rear Seating Sub Teams.

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Main responsibilities will be to support the seating comfort attribute development in the following areas/tasks:

  • Vehicle benchmarking and competitor/comparator analysis
  • Attribute generation and analysis for front & rear seating systems
  • Arranging local and international drive events for Bentley or with VW group brands
  • Comfort data analysis, results preparation & presentation
  • Tracking and management of seating innovation projects
  • Investigating and assisting in sustainable materials development & deployment
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

The successful candidate will be an Engineer with experience in seating in particular benchmarking, analysis and innovation or within an Interior Department/Design Partner.
  • Flexible team player who is able to liaise at all levels within the organisation
  • Ability to interrogate objective & subjective data and draw robust conclusions
  • Excellent knowledge of automotive vehicle trends
  • Knowledge of automotive comfort and ergonomics
  • Understanding of sustainable automotive interior materials
  • Knowledge of systems engineering (V model for system development)
  • Good financial and business awareness
  • An Engineering Degree or equivalent relevant experience
