to join our growing car supermarket team. In this key role, you will be responsible for sourcing high-quality vehicles through online auctions, managing bids, and ensuring accurate and timely inventory acquisition.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the automotive industry, excellent decision-making skills, and the ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced online auction environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Participate in live online vehicle auctions (e.g.,
Copart, Manheim, BCA
) to secure vehicles that meet inventory needs.
Monitor multiple platforms, place bids strategically, and purchase vehicles within defined budgets.
Analyze vehicle data including mileage, condition reports, and service history to make informed bidding decisions.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all auction activity and vehicle acquisitions.
Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to arrange payment, collection, and transportation.
Liaise with sales and inventory teams to align vehicle sourcing with customer demand.
Communicate with auction houses and sellers to clarify details or resolve issues.
Use Microsoft Office and internal systems to manage purchases and track inventory in real-time.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Knowledge or experience in the automotive industry (e.g., vehicle specs, valuations, condition assessment).
Familiarity with platforms such as
Manheim, Copart, BCA
, or
ADESA
.
Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
Proficiency in
Microsoft Office
, especially
Excel
and
Outlook
.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to multitask and remain focused under pressure and tight deadlines.
Comfortable working independently and making timely, data-driven decisions.
Fast and accurate typing and data entry skills.
Preferred (but not required):
Previous experience in vehicle sourcing, online bidding, or working with a car dealership/supermarket.
Basic mechanical knowledge or experience assessing vehicle condition and grading.
Bilingual/multilingual abilities for international auction engagement.
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
1 Saturday per month: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
