This is a traineeship through Artswork's Breakthrough programme at The Beaney House of Art & Knowledge Museum.

Breakthrough is a 6?month employability programme designed as a stepping stone to get you workplace experience and all-important employment skills. This short placement gives you insight into a future career in the Creative Industry, supporting your confidence and professionalism in the workplace, and helping you to break through into a career that matters to you! Breakthrough is for people aged 18-25 with no or little (less than one month) previous experience of working in an arts, creative or voluntary sector organisation.

The role



Supporting the museum team in creating welcoming experiences and engaging programmes that attract and connect with diverse audiences. Assist with visitor services, activities and marketing to help make the museum accessible and enjoyable for everyone.

This role will include assisting with the:

- Front of house services including customer service and widening participation.

- Collections and Programming teams to create an inclusive environment for all visitors to enjoy by suggesting activities and improvements to reach new audiences.

- Creation and implementation of programs and communications designed to attract new visitors and deepen relationships with existing audiences.

- Analysis of visitor data to help inform strategies that enhance the museum's accessibility, relevance and appeal to a wide range of communities.

There will also be opportunities to attend training sessions with the wider company.

Hours and location



The 25 hours per week will be spread 9 - 5 across 4 working days.

The role is based at the museum itself.
