Projects are predominantly in London, and therefore we would like to recruit London regional service engineers to join our team. There will be opportunities to travel across the UK and Europe if the service engineer's desire.
Job description
This is a full-time on-site role as an Audiovisual Service Engineer located in the London Area. Applicants should live within TFL travel zones 1-6. The Audiovisual Service Engineer will be responsible for troubleshooting, field service, communication, technical support, maintenance, and repair of audiovisual systems on a day-to-day basis. Liaise with manufacturers for product support and warranty enquiries.
Outline Role Specification
Troubleshooting and Maintenance & Repair of existing AV systems
Field Service and Technical Support to other clients and other team members
Read, understand and interpret audio visual system schematics and other construction drawings
Respond to client service tickets quickly and efficiently
Updating service tickets with resolutions and or additional requirements
Liaising with other internal departments, clients and contractors
Health and safety awareness and ability to pass the Electrotechnical Certification Scheme (ECS) exam is essential
Attend training courses as necessary
A clean, full UK driving licence will also be advantageous
Required Experience & Key Attributes
At least 5 years working in the industry or similar role. Required.
Cable Installation and termination. Required.
Hardware installation. Required.
Ability to plan ahead, organise efficiently and work tidily. Required.
Able to work as part of a team and on their own. Required.
Ability to think laterally finding an appropriate solution to a challenging situation. Required.
Good communication skills both verbal and written, being able to communicate competently with clients, construction professionals and other members of our team. Required.
Ability and desire to work to the highest quality standards with attention to detail ensuring that we complete our work thoroughly, handing over to a happy customer with all relevant paperwork completed. Required.
Competent to a high level of computer literacy. Preferred.
Possess a good level of technical knowledge and experience working with Audio-Visual and Video Conferencing / Collaboration Systems such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom or from affiliated roles such as Cable / Satellite TV / Category Cabling Installations, Electrical works or general IP Network / Telephony Communications. Preferred.
Ambition to enhance technical knowledge and participate in industry education schemes such as Infocom / AVIXA CTS. Preferred.
