Assistant Manager
within their growing Public Sector Audit team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious audit professional to step up into a leadership role, managing client relationships, leading audit engagements, and supporting the development of junior staff.

OPPORTUNITY
As an
Assistant Manager
, you'll manage your own portfolio of clients within the public and not-for-profit sectors, taking ownership of delivery from planning through to completion. You'll work closely with Managers and Partners, supporting the firm's continued growth while developing and inspiring more junior team members.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing a portfolio of public sector audit clients, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery
Leading audit teams throughout the full audit cycle--planning, fieldwork, and completion
Reviewing accounts and providing technical advice to clients
Building and maintaining trusted client relationships, delivering an exceptional client experience
Supporting revenue and profitability targets through effective portfolio management
Assisting with staff resourcing, departmental planning, and team appraisals
Coaching, mentoring, and guiding junior staff to support their technical and professional development
PERSON
You'll be a qualified auditor (ACA, ACCA, CA or equivalent) with a strong grounding in UK GAAP and IFRS. You'll have experience managing audits and enjoy taking ownership of client relationships in a professional, people-first environment.
You will bring:
ACA/ACCA/CA qualification (or equivalent)
Strong technical knowledge of audit and accounting standards (UK GAAP/IFRS)
Experience of leading audits across a range of industries--public sector experience desirable
Excellent communication and client management skills
Experience coaching and developing junior team members
The ability to plan, prioritise and deliver in a fast-paced environment
