Join Close Brothers Internal Audit Team where you will be responsible for delivering independent, objective assurance and consulting activity to the Audit Committee, Board and Management on the quality and effectiveness of the Group's internal control, risk management and governance systems and processes, specifically relating to Financial Conduct risks of Close Brothers Group.
As part of an expanding and high performing Group Internal Audit (GIA) team, you will drive delivery of the audit plan and related activities to financial conduct risk management, including regulatory compliance assurance across lending and deposit taking business processes in a timely manner to best practice standards, producing value-adding and high-quality internal audit services to help the organisation achieve its objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Delivering high quality end to end audit activities within Group Internal Audit (GIA).
Manage the delivery of the financial conduct risk elements of the audit plan.
Understand and have experience of anticipating and responding to the existing and emerging risks and issues within areas of Financial Conduct Authority regulatory framework applicable to Close Brothers retail businesses' regulated entities, including remediation activity assurance.
Benchmark Close Brothers retail businesses' operating models with peer/industry practice to provide insights to the business and identify areas requiring improvement.
Producing high quality analysis and input to the annual risk assessment process and related annual audit plan
WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE/ARE:
Proven experience of working in internal audit roles, preferably with a reputable financial services experience.
Proven understanding of risk and controls principles.
Proven knowledge of the financial services industry and regulations applicable to Close Brothers.
Demonstrable experience of leading/supporting continuous monitoring and stakeholder management.
High level of motivation and ability to work in an organised manner under pressure.
Ability to build strong relationships with auditees.
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
Strong understanding and working knowledge of data analytics.
IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU:
Financial services related qualifications such as Chartered Accountant, CFA, FRM, CIA, CISA etc. will be considered advantageous.
Ability to interact comfortably with senior management.
Strong understanding of project management.
Experience of managing projects within a financial institution.
Knowledge of business processes and controls within the financial services industry.
Excellent technical product knowledge
Strong knowledge of regulatory remediation programmes.
