About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced audit professional to join our growing team. The Audit Reviewer will make a meaningful contribution to audit quality through constructively challenging our audit teams and ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
Main Responsibilities:
Carry out audit file reviews, including discussion of findings with the audit team
Ongoing monitoring activities, including thematic reviews
Root cause analysis review and follow-up of corrective action
CPD monitoring
Monitoring of independence and compliance with ethical requirements
Assist in development of audit monitoring plan
Annual audit compliance review
Compiling of common issues arising on monitoring activities
Perform activities to support ISQM1 evaluation
Assist with monitoring inspections by regulator
Maintain details of previous inspection findings and actions
Support other areas of the team as required
Key Requirements:
Member of a Recognised Accountancy Body
Audit qualification
Minimum 5 years' post qualification experience in audit
Experience of a compliance/regulatory role desirable but not required
Additional Requirements:
Strong knowledge of auditing standards, regulatory frameworks, ethical standards
Excellent communication and influencing skills
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Capable of working on own initiative; take ownership of the role and be capable of making key decisions while also actively collaborating within the team
A strong focus on attention to detail
Excellent organisational and multi-tasking skills
