Description




Our Leeds office is looking for an experienced, professional and enthusiastic Qualified Senior Associate, to join our audit team. Applicants must be either ACA or ACCA qualified and be able to display a commercially minded and organised approach to client work.



You will become a key part of a growing team, which provides a wide range of audit, advisory and accounting services to a huge range of diverse clients including but not limited to landed estates, charities, owner-managed businesses and FCA regulated entities.



Our Audit Senior Associates:


Project manage and drive forwards the audit and accounting process, including liaising directly with senior individuals in clients' finance teams. Get actively involved in every aspect of the audit process, taking ownership of planning, fieldwork, and the completion on audit engagements, working closely with managers and partners. Have the opportunity to get involved in the direction and overall running of the team. There may also be opportunities to work on ad hoc projects e.g., department or firm wide working groups and client advisory work.

Our Audit Senior Associates are often given the opportunity to manage a small portfolio of jobs, which helps you to develop the next stage of your career progression. With exciting growth plans in the team, we have a successful framework in place where you will be supported and encouraged throughout your time with us, to allow ample opportunity for further development.


We will also consider applications from candidates that are due to fully qualify in the next few months.


The Team





The Audit team within the Leeds offices comprises over 30 members of staff. There is a real focus on development within the team, with the aim being for our people to develop their careers long term within the firm.



Clients are varied in nature with the opportunity to work on AIM listed organisations, complex groups with overseas links, Owner Managed Businesses and charities and not for profit organisations.



Our new Leeds office, based in Wellington Place, is within walking distance of the city centre with easy access to bus and national rail services.


Qualifications and Skills




ACA/ACCA qualified Audit experience, including planning and completion Excellent communication skills Client focused with commerciality awareness Computer experience: Excel, Word and ideally CCH accounts and audit automation Good technical knowledge including recent developments in accounting and auditing standards Excellent organisational skills and ability to work on multiple jobs at once Ability to work in a pressured environment Proactive nature and enjoys working as part of a team Although not a pre-requisite, it would be beneficial if you had: Driving licence and ability to travel to client premises Experience of consolidated accounts Experience of IFRS

A 35 hour working week with a hybrid working policy with a minimum of 2 days in the office (our core hours are 10-4). Excellent benefits including; contributory pension scheme, 25 days annual leave, Life Assurance cover and great flexible benefits and family friendly policies. Eligibility for the firm's Profit-Sharing Plan. Paid in December.
