i-Wonder provides technology solutions for the insurance industry. One of our key services is to create price comparison websites and our clients include Compare the Market, Go.compare and Confused.com. As part of this, we manage the relationships with the insurers/brokers who display their prices on these comparison websites.

As an independently owned business with a close-knit team we have the flexibility to try new ideas, develop new technology and challenge the status-quo. Our office is located in Micheldever, Winchester with onsite parking and excellent rail links. The majority of our employees are home-based, making occasional trips into the office.

We're a fast-growing business with big plans and we're looking for ambitious, talented individuals to join our team. We're currently expanding our headcount both in the UK and in our offshore development hub based in Sri Lanka.

Purpose of the role

To support the Head of Audit & Compliance in ensuring the appropriate oversight of brokers/insurers on the price comparison panels, with a focus on regulatory compliance and accurate revenue reporting.

This role will include:

Complete panel member audits with support from the Head of Audit & Compliance. This will include:

data analysis, testing with the panel member (virtually or onsite), working with the panel member to investigate any issues and come up with a suitable solution and drafting the audit report
Support the Head of Audit & Compliance in enhancing the current testing methods and/or template documentation, audit tracking and collation of MI.

Being part of a small team, there will also be a requirement to complete other business activities to support the CEO & the Head of Audit & Compliance, these may include:

Support with our product governance activities, to ensure that we are compliant with the FCAs Consumer Duty. This may include reviewing product fair value assessments, target market statements, policy documents and IPIDs Review panel member performance, using this to feed into the audit plan, helping to ensure we focus on the highest risk panel members. Support the Head of Audit & Compliance on other ad hoc matters as required.

Experience in the following areas is required:

financial services experience (essential) Audit/investigation experience (essential) insurance/broker/price comparison experience (beneficial)
You must be based in the UK, primarily home based and ideally able to occasionally visit our head office in Micheldever (although this would be very infrequent).
