We are looking for a highly experienced, and motivated Advisory Facilitator to support schools working with Autistic pupils with complex communication and support needs. We are looking for a candidate who has experience of supporting Autistic pupils with learning disabilities and high support needs. Candidates may have had experience of working as teacher assistants, learning support assistants, or higher-level teaching assistants, in mainstream or specialist provision. The successful candidate will work as part of the Specialist Team, which includes teams for hearing and vision support; physical disabilities; SEMH; speech, language and communication and a pre-school Autism service.
The role includes modelling strategies, supports and interventions, working closely with the Autism Advisory Teacher, in mainstream primary schools.
The Autism Advisory Team is a dynamic and enthusiastic team that is passionate about developing high-quality provision for all Autistic pupils in Barnet schools. The candidate must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, have a strong team ethos and be able to motivate, challenge and inspire colleagues, school staff and other professionals.
