Job Summary
We are looking to add to our blended team of professionals a Qualified clinician / professional with a background in , Speech & Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Teaching or BCAP.
A minimum of 3 years' experience post qualifying is essential for this role and experience of working with the Autistic / Neurodivergent community.
You will have experience in supporting the autism and ADHD assessment process and will be formally trained in assessment tools to support in the client's assessment journey.
You will have a sound understanding of the legal frameworks surrounding Autism & ADHD.
You will need to evidence continued professional development post qualifying.
You will be regularly supervised by a nominated team member and encouraged to take personal responsibility for your supervision and continued professional development plan.
You will actively promote teamwork, respect, integrity, accountability, excellence, and compassion within the team in accordance with our values, to support our local communities by excelling in everything we do together.
You will provide support to the other team members within the multidisciplinary team and ensure the effective assessment, formulation, planning, and monitoring of care given to the people we support as requested.

Key Responsibilities
Communication and Relationship Skills:
You will be required to liaise with other agencies and health professionals and provide specialist guidance/advice when appropriate.
You will have an excellent ability to build rapport with autistic adults and other parent / carer.
You will be required to help overcome barriers to understanding, e.g., people who have physical impairment, mental health condition or learning disabilities.
You will be required to exchange information with others using persuasion, reassurance, tact, and empathy.

The ability to make judgements on problems requiring further support and escalate within the company.
To report any incidents, accidents, or untoward occurrences to management.

Person Centered Care
You will be required to assist autistic individuals and their family/carer's in enabling them to develop skills that will help them manage their condition(s) developing care plans and strategies that help and support the individual.
You will be required to evaluate and consider the individuals physical and mental health needs; this may include undertaking practical skills under the guidance of a nurse.
You will be required to develop a working knowledge of physical health conditions that can cause contra-indications for autistic individuals, such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease.
To be a champion or link practitioner for specialist interests (carers, Safeguarding etc.).
You will be required to be aware of and follow the NICE guidelines when planning and implementing interventions with the MDT. Assessing the need for alternative therapeutic interventions and providing this intervention.
Actively participate, in regular supervision, and support personal development plans.
To comply with Health and Safety at work Act 1974 and report any hazards to management.
Work with people who are supported under the framework of the Mental Health Act 1983 (as amended 2007). Offering referral to advocacy and IMCA where appropriate.

Person Specification
Have completed relevant training in autism and/ or other neurodevelopment conditions.
Evidence of CPD.
Qualification in Social Work, Nursing, SALT, Occupational Therapy or BCAP and active registration on the appropriate register.
