Job Description

Justteachers is currently recruiting a compassionate and proactive Autism Support Worker to join a specialist provision in Bradford, supporting pupils with autism and additional complex needs. This is a full-time role, due to start as soon as possible with shortlisting currently taking place.

This inclusive and trauma-informed setting provides a safe and structured environment where pupils are supported to re-engage with learning and develop essential life skills. You will play a key role in helping learners access education, regulate emotions, and build positive relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with Autism and additional complex needs. Use tailored strategies such as visual supports, sensory tools, and communication aids Build strong, trusting relationships to promote engagement and wellbeing Contribute to EHCP reviews and personalised support plans

Requirements:

Experience supporting children or young people with Autism Knowledge of autism-specific strategies and communication tools (e.g. PECS, Makaton) Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent) Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
