Overview



We are looking for a caring, patient and reliable individual to support a 12-year-old boy with autism. This role is ideal for a

Student Occupational Therapist, Speech and Language Therapy student, Social Work student, or Learning Disability Nursing student

seeking hands-on experience.

You will be supporting him at home and in the community, focusing on building independence, social skills, and having fun through structured activities.

Key Responsibilities:



Provide one-to-one support and companionship Take him out for meals, to the park, and other community activities Support at home with reading, board games, and sensory activities Encourage engagement and positive interaction Manage challenging behaviour with patience and understanding

Requirements:



Previous experience working with children/clients with autism and challenging behaviour (essential) Must hold a valid driving licence (mileage covered at 0.45 per mile) Reliable, enthusiastic, and able to engage positively with children Students in relevant fields (OT, Speech & Language Therapy, Social Work, LD Nursing) are encouraged to apply

Hours & Pay:



Fridays: 4:00pm - 8:00pm Tuesdays: 4:00pm - 8:00pm Between 8-15 hours per week (hours may increase, days may change) Pay:

13.50 per hour
