Role Overview
This is a
physical, warehouse-based role
ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for receiving stock, organising inventory, picking and packing orders, and maintaining a safe and efficient warehouse. No two days are the same, and full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
Receiving & Checking Deliveries
Unload incoming pallets, verify stock against purchase orders, check for damages or shortages, and report discrepancies.
Stock Organisation
Store items accurately following warehouse procedures. Ensure the warehouse is organised, clean, and safe at all times.
Order Picking & Packing
Pick parts from shelves according to sales orders, pack items securely, and prepare them for dispatch or delivery van loading.
Inventory Maintenance
Assist with regular stock-taking, recording discrepancies, and using basic software or stock sheets to update inventory levels.
General Warehouse Support
Support with returns, urgent order requests, and warehouse tasks as needed. Work closely with the sales, parts, and logistics teams.
Health & Safety Compliance
Follow all safety guidelines and maintain proper use of equipment, reporting hazards or incidents immediately.
Skills & Requirements
Physical Ability
: Must be capable of lifting, moving, and standing for extended periods as part of a physically active role.
Right to Work in the UK
: Applicants must have a British passport, Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR), or no visa restrictions preventing full-time work in the UK.
Attention to Detail
: Ability to work accurately when processing deliveries, stock, and customer orders.
Communication & Teamwork
: Must be a team player and able to communicate clearly with colleagues across departments.
Computer Skills
: Basic knowledge of Excel, Word, and warehouse systems preferred.
Experience
: Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or automotive parts is desirable but not required -- full training provided.
Working Hours & Conditions
Schedule:
Monday to Friday
Bank Holidays:
Required working days (unless otherwise agreed)
Weekends:
Only required for occasional stock-taking
