Due to continued growth and increasing demand, we are now seeking an
Experienced AutoCAD Drawer
to join our design and survey team.
Role Overview
As an
AutoCAD Drawer
, you will play a key part in producing professional
Traffic Management Plans (TMPs)
and supporting the wider design and operations team.
You'll work from our Scunthorpe hub, creating accurate, compliant layouts for live and planned works. You'll have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects and develop your skills in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys technical drawing, is confident using CAD software, and takes pride in creating clear, precise, and compliant plans that reflect real-world site conditions.
Key Responsibilities
Produce
Traffic Management Plans (TMPs)
using
BricsCAD, AutoCAD, or Cone software
Interpret site information, drawings, and survey data into professional, compliant designs
Ensure all designs adhere to Chapter 8 and relevant traffic management standards
Collaborate with the Design Lead and other team members to ensure accuracy and consistency
Deliver drawings and design outputs within business KPIs (typically 24-hour turnaround)
Maintain design templates and standard layouts for efficiency and quality
Liaise with internal teams and clients to clarify requirements or resolve design queries
Support the continuous improvement of design standards and procedures
Required Skills and Experience
Proven experience using
AutoCAD or BricsCAD
to produce professional drawings
Previous experience in
traffic management, highways, utilities, or construction design
(preferred)
Strong computer skills and ability to manage digital files and outputs efficiently
Good understanding of road layouts, signage, and traffic flow (beneficial)
High attention to detail, accuracy, and presentation quality
Ability to manage workload, meet deadlines, and work well under pressure
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn and grow with the business
Desirable
Experience using
Cone
software
Familiarity with
Chapter 8
,
NHSS
, or traffic management legislation
Experience producing plans for permit applications or roadworks
Full UK driving licence
