to join our production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating the Autodesk Fabrication CAMduct software to create, modify, and optimize sheet metal components used in HVAC systems. This role requires experience with CAD/CAM software, an understanding of ductwork manufacturing, and the ability to produce accurate cutting files for fabrication.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate
Autodesk Fabrication CAMduct
to create 2D models and flat patterns for sheet metal fabrication.
Import and modify ductwork designs based on engineering drawings or architectural plans.
Generate cutting lists, nesting layouts, and CNC code for automated cutting machinery.
Ensure all files and outputs meet project specifications and quality standards.
Collaborate with the engineering, and production teams to resolve design or production issues.
Maintain and update CAMduct libraries, templates, and standards.
Troubleshoot CAMduct software issues and recommend process improvements.
Maintain accurate records of revisions and changes in job files.
Requirements:
Proven experience using
Autodesk Fabrication CAMduct
in a production or drafting environment.
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, ductwork components, and sheet metal fabrication processes.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
Familiarity with CNC machinery and automated cutting processes.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
Formal training or certification in CAD/CAM or mechanical drafting.
Experience with other Autodesk Fabrication software (e.g., CADmep, ESTmep) is a plus.
Knowledge of the ductwork industry
Prior experience in a sheet metal or HVAC manufacturing environment.
