The Opportunity
We are seeking a talented
Automation Engineer
to join our Technology Services team in London. This role will focus on delivering and supporting automation across technology and the Fund, driving process efficiency and reducing manual workload.
You will collaborate closely with teams in both Australia and the UK, developing and maintaining automation solutions using tools such as Microsoft PowerApps, PowerAutomate, and Azure DevOps. You will provide hands-on engineering expertise, operational management, and ensure alignment to the Fund's processes, standards, and best practices.
As part of AustralianSuper's expanding UK operations, you'll work on impactful projects and help build our automation capabilities, all while benefiting from flexible hybrid working arrangements that support work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain automation solutions using Microsoft PowerPlatforms and O365.
Drive automation initiatives to uplift operational stability and embed greater efficiency.
Collaborate with technology teams and stakeholders to identify and implement automation opportunities.
Provide operational management and support for automation solutions, including incident resolution and lifecycle management.
Ensure documentation and governance of automation solutions align with Fund standards.
Support transition to operations for vendor-delivered automation solutions and oversee citizen development.
Who We're Looking For
You are an experienced automation engineer with a passion for innovation and a deep knowledge of Microsoft PowerApps, PowerAutomate, and Azure DevOps. You thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and have a strong problem-solving mindset.

Key skills include:
Strong, demonstrable experience in technical roles within complex enterprise environments
Demonstrated experience in automating technical and business processes
Expertise in Microsoft PowerApps, PowerAutomate, and Azure DevOps
Preferred experience with Terraform and code-driven pipelines
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Knowledge of ITIL and ITSM frameworks
