E-ppl are leading suppliers of Managed Services within the automotive industry. Working with the main OEMs within the UK and overseas. We are a specialist contractor who OEM\'s call on to support their vehicle projects. This can range from carefully planned and executed launch support projects through to very reactive quality campaigns. All our projects are fully managed offering a turn-key solution to our customers.

An opportunity has arisen at E-ppl, we are looking for skilled and experienced Coach Builders to join our team supporting our customer building Electric buses in Northern Ireland. This will be on an ongoing contract basis.

The main responsibilities for the successful candidates are for Automotive Coachbuilder / Auto Technician

:
  • To fabricate complex parts and assemblies to support the manufacturing process.
  • Read and work from complex parts and assembly drawings and schematics and following verbal instructions.
  • You would use hand tools and basic cutting machinery to modify and alter the vehicles and parts.
  • Coachbuilder will be carrying out duties involving modifying vehicles, building, assembling, and fitting various bespoke assemblies\' parts and components to the vehicles.
  • Fitting and assembly of metal, wood, and laminate components to vehicles during the assembly process in accordance with the customer and build specifications.
  • Use site equipment and/or hand tools associated with the manufactures.
  • Compliance with the company\'s Health and Safety procedures.
  • Keeps work area clean.
  • Maintains and wears all required safety and health personal protective equipment.
Requirements:

Coachbuilder / Technician Requirements:
  • Minium 3 years\' experience in a professional workshop environment
  • Good attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
  • The ability to work both as part of a team and on your own initiative.
  • You will be able to work both skilfully and safely and adhere to timelines/deadlines effectively.
  • The workload is liable to change minute to minute, so we need someone who is flexible, and able to work well under pressure.
  • A Practical trade test will be conducted to test proficiency and skill.
  • Our client is based in Ballymena Northern Ireland commuting distance from Belfast, Larne, Antrim and Ballymoney.

  • Retention Bonus - Paid every 2 Months. (Every hour you work contributes a \xc2\xa31 to your bonus. On a 40 hour week it would be bonus of \xc2\xa3320 every two months) These numbers are based on someone working a basic 40 hour week.
  • Daily living allowance of \xc2\xa315 paid
Hours of work are Monday -Thursday 7am to 5pm

Possible overtime may be available on Friday and Saturday.

Weekend overtime with premium rate

Ongoing contract paid limited company or via umbrella company - Outside of IR35
