D A Thorburn Motor Engineers based in Cockburnspath are looking to recruit an ambitious young person to join our busy workshop.

A great opportunity for someone who loves to get their hands dirty, and who loves to fix broken things and solve problems, no two days are the same.

Covering all aspects of vehicle repair and maintenance, Modern Apprentices work towards completing a portfolio demonstrating newly acquired skills and knowledge gained as they progress through the program.

Skills and knowledge which they will learn while working under supervision in the garage workshop and also attending College classes for one day once a week.

No previous experience / knowledge is required although desirable, but must have the willingness to observe, listen and learn.

We are easily accessible by bus off the main A1 with bus stops next to the garage on the main road. Parking is also available if you can drive.
