Responsible for inspecting finished vehicles to identify paint imperfections, carrying out spot repairs and refinishing, and performing disassembly and reassembly of vehicle parts as required to achieve a factory-quality finish.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect vehicles for paint defects, scratches, dents, and surface irregularities.
Perform spot repair and paint correction on finished vehicles.
Carry out sanding, priming, color matching, painting, and polishing work to OEM standards.
Disassemble and reassemble vehicle components (e.g., bumpers, trims, lights) to facilitate paint repair.
Ensure proper blending and finishing for seamless repair.
Work with modern paint systems and application techniques (water-based, solvent-based).
Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe working environment.
Collaborate with quality control and production teams to ensure timely delivery.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of automotive painting and refinishing techniques.
Ability to detect and correct minor paint defects.
Skilled in sanding, masking, spraying, and polishing.
Experience with vehicle part assembly/disassembly.
Attention to detail and focus on high-quality standards.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications:
Relevant experience as an Automotive Paint Technician, Spot Repair Technician, or similar.
Knowledge of paint mixing and color matching.
Familiarity with safety standards and proper handling of paints and chemicals.
