Job Summary


We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated auxiliary Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing exceptional patient care and will be responsible for implementing, and evaluating patient care plans. This role requires a thorough understanding of anatomy and the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standards of care.

Responsibilities



Perform basic clinical tasks such as taking patients temperature and pulse. Prepare patient for examination and treatment. Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' health status and needs. Implement person-centered care plans based on patient assessments. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians. Monitor patients' progress, report and respond to changes in their condition. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with company policy Distribute and serve food, assist patients in feed, preparing snacks and hot drinks. Assist patients in washing, dressing, toiletry activities and general mobility. Assist in tidying the clients living enviroment where necessary. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic patient care. Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and safety standards. Provide companionship and emotional support to patients, fostering a positive environment. To report any concerns to the team lead of that area relating to significant changes in the client's health and support needs. To contribute to the clients review process, along with the team leads and all other involved parties, by using your knowledge of assisting the clients in meeting the desired outcomes. To understand the arrangements for ensuring that clients are safeguarded against the risk of abuse. To report any incidents or accidents to your team lead and management in accordance with Company policy and quality monitoring processes. To identify risk of infection or contamination and alert concerns to your senior carer for further assessment. To assist with the general standards of hygiene and cleanliness in accordance with planned care and support. To ensure that as far as reasonably practicable where equipment is provided as part of the care and support plan it is safe and fit for purpose. To undertake the appropriate level of training and regular updates to stay up to date of best practice with regard to medication and other aspects of care.

Skills



Strong knowledge of patient care practices and principles. Thorough understanding of anatomy and physiology. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail. Empathy and compassion towards patients, ensuring their dignity is maintained at all times. Proficiency in using medical equipment and technology relevant to nursing practice.
