Job description

We're recruiting for an experienced and proactive

AV and Events Manager

to join a leading school group in West London. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong technical knowledge and a passion for delivering exceptional live events and productions.

The successful candidate will take the lead on all audio-visual (AV) and event requirements, ensuring high-quality support across multiple school sites. You'll combine hands-on technical skills with project management and coordination ability, working closely with internal teams and external contractors to deliver concerts, shows, and large-scale events to a professional standard.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage all AV setup, operation, and maintenance across multiple sites. Oversee the technical delivery of events and productions, including sound, lighting, projection, and recording. Plan and coordinate with teams and contractors to ensure events run smoothly from start to finish. Troubleshoot technical issues and provide AV support and guidance to staff where required.

Experience and Skills Required:

3-5 years' hands-on AV management or technical experience, ideally within education or live event settings. Proven ability to manage medium to large-scale events such as concerts or productions. Strong knowledge of AV systems including sound, lighting, and projection. Proficiency with digital audio consoles (e.g. Midas), lighting control systems (e.g. Zero 88, ETC Ion, AVOLITES), and relevant software for editing and streaming. Strong project management skills, able to balance multiple priorities and deadlines. Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving abilities. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required for events.

Desirable:

Relevant AV qualification (City & Guilds, AVIXA, or equivalent).

Hours:

Full-time, 35 hours per week. Core hours 7:30am-3:30pm with flexibility for evening and weekend events. Time off in lieu will be provided.

We look forward to receiving your application.
