JOB PURPOSE:
To carry out technical procedures for the Overhaul, Repair and Hydrostatic testing of pressure vessels, including inspection, cleaning and refilling in accordance with MEL internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES:
To carry out technical procedures for overhaul and repair of pressurised cylinders with the use and understanding of written instructions
Attention to detail and an appreciation of the exceptional working standards required in the Aviation industry
The ability to use tooling and test equipment in the correct manner
To work within a team environment, with good communication skills
Exceptional standards of housekeeping
Responsible for adhering to health and safety rules and procedures
Conducting assigned tasks in a controlled and safe manner, paying particular respect to colleagues and equipment
Move cylinders and other equipment within work bays without damage to self, colleagues or equipment
To apply understanding of FAR / JAR regulations and other applicable regulatory bodies.
A keen appreciation of quality assurance
Willingness to learn and develop capability
To work safely, within guidelines, with highly pressurised gas systems
To work to set standards and deadlines
Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times
PERSONAL SKILLS / ATTRIBUTES:
Ability to use tooling and test equipment in the correct manner.
Basic mechanical/engineering knowledge.
Proven record and experience of technical competence.
Positive attitude combined with a 'common sense' approach.
Able to lift safe loads without assistance.
Ability to work well as an individual and within a team.
Meticulous attention to detail, with a methodical approach to tasks.
WORKING HOURS:
40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.
SALARY:
Dependent on skills and aptitude.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: 29,000.00-32,000.00 per year
