Aviation Workshop Lead Hand



Mon-Thurs, 40 hours per week. Night shift.

The role will require the successful applicant to:

Be responsible for overseeing the progress of jobs that have been issued by the Workshop Manager. At the start of each shift to ensure all work is assigned IAW with the Handover log and discuss shift requirements with all staff and complete Toolbox talks. To provide the Workshop Manager or Day Shift Lead Hand with an end of shift Handover with updates to all tasks completed during the working shift and highlight any issues, concentrating on potential issues, timescales and materials. Ensure all staff are clocking on and off jobs and paperwork is completed & signed at the correct time. Carry out pre-and final inspection on all workshop components, ensuring the correct process has been carried out and the product meets the correct standards. Any findings during pre- and post-inspection must be communicated to the Workshop Manager or Day Shift Lead Hand in the shift Handover. Ensure that any products used during the shift are logged and stock is adjusted accordingly. Ensure all staff within the department are using the correct PPE. Ensure the department is in compliance with both the MOE and EASA requirements. Ensure good housekeeping within the department during the working shift. Ensuring correct working practices are maintenance for the upkeep of all equipment within the department. Read and understand the applicable modifications, customer requirements and Aircraft tech data for all repair/manufacturing tasks. Involvement in progression and improvement of repair procedures.

Essential skills required for the role:



High standard of communication skills. High level of industry knowledge and experience. Knowledge of procedures, and ability to read and understand Manufacturer's manuals and technical data. High standard of craftmanship and proven experience. Excellent attention to detail Good level of computer literacy Ability to deliver instructions, training and knowledge Ability to prioritise and adjust workload according to requirements
