Job Title: Awake Night Sit Carer (Female)
Location: West Malling, Kent
Job Type: Part-time or Full-time (Overnight shifts)
Schedule: Monday to Friday and weekend shifts available
Hours: Typically from 22:00-07:00. Shifts may vary based on client needs
Salary: 12.96 to 13.96 per hour
Reports to: Care Manager
This role requires a female carer at the request of the family.

Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Awake Night Sit Carer to provide overnight care and support to a lovely lady in her home. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of client throughout the night. This role requires attentiveness and the ability to respond quickly to any needs or emergencies that may arise during the night.
Key Responsibilities:
Overnight Supervision: Remain awake and vigilant throughout the night to monitor a client's wellbeing
Personal Care: Assist with any personal care needs as required
Emotional Support: Provide companionship and emotional reassurance to client during waking periods
Emergency Response: Respond promptly to any medical or behavioural emergencies, following established protocols and alerting appropriate authorities if needed
Documentation: Keep accurate records of the client's condition and any incidents that occur during the night, reporting these to the Care Manager or relevant health professionals
Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with the daytime care team, providing detailed handovers and updates on the clients status
Qualifications:
Experience: Previous experience in a similar role as a carer or health care assistant is beneficial but not required
Training: Relevant care qualifications are desirable but not mandatory as full training will be provided
Skills: Strong observational and communication skills, with the ability to stay alert and respond quickly to client needs
Personal Qualities: Compassionate, patient, and able to provide calm reassurance during the night
Physical Ability: Capable of assisting with mobility and personal care, including lifting and repositioning clients as necessary
