The Role




We are looking for an

Academy Football Analyst

for

AWFC

on a

casual basis

to provide insightful performance analysis within our Academy.

Your day-to-day



Uphold our analysis methodologies

- you will support with the creating of a review and analysis framework in line with our principles of play

Oversee management of footage

- you'll manage the distribution of 2/3x cameras on a weekly basis and you will manage all footage and upload in a timely fashion to HUDL

Support with post-match reviews

- you will lead in the coding and databasing of all fixtures to better aid the post-match review process

Provide opposition analysis

- you'll have input into the preparation of pre-match opposition analysis content and you will support with the assessment of opposition performance trends via video

Champion impactful feedback

- you will drive feedback to coaches/players around game performance and areas of strength and improvement, and you'll help to instill a more reflective and evaluative culture within our Academy

Deliver player review processes

- you'll support in the delivery of a detailed, regular individual player review programme, including the preparation of material, as well as delivering of such work to both coaches and players




What we are looking for



Background in professional football

- you have experience of working in professional football within an academy, with an ability to link theory to practice in a practical environment, and you possess a technical and tactical understanding of football (strategies, systems, philosophies, game models)

Experience with data and performance insights

- you come with a track record of accurately analysing multiple data streams and delivering and communicating performance insights, with an understanding of varying working methodologies and best practice within elite sports analysis

Credible expertise

- you hold an FA Level 2 Coaching Licence

Best-in-class communication skills

- you've got exceptional inter-personal skills that facilitate the effective delivery of performance insights, build connections, and support outstanding team cohesion

Forward-thinking mindset

- you've got the ability to adapt to emerging technologies and their application in automating working processes, with an innate desire to continuously challenge, learn and move forward

Competence with analysis software/hardware

- you are ideally confident in using Game On Technologies, SBG Match Tracker, HUDL Sportscode Elite and HUDL platforms, SBG Focus, ChyonHego CoachPaint (desirable)
