What you'll be doing

Reporting to The Head of Architecture you'll be delivering a project to modernise and automate the end-to-end infrastructure lifecycle of a mature

C# .NET Core WPF application

.

You'll take ownership of evolving our AWS environment, streamlining operations, and enabling semi-technical staff to reliably spin up, operate, and tear down environments with ease.

This role is highly hands-on and will involve designing automation workflows, modernising Infrastructure as Code, and ensuring our infrastructure is robust, maintainable, and secure. Lead the

modernisation and automation

of end-to-end infrastructure lifecycle in AWS. Refactor and standardise existing

IaC (Python, Ansible, CDK, Terraform)

to improve maintainability and reliability. Automate provisioning, configuration, scaling, and teardown workflows for core AWS services (Aurora MySQL, SES, S3, EFS, IAM, Lambda, API Gateway, and others). Build and integrate

operator-friendly dashboards

to allow semi-technical staff to manage workflows safely. Implement

CI/CD pipelines

for infrastructure and application deployments. Establish robust

logging, monitoring, and alerting

across the stack. Design and enforce

role-based access controls (RBAC)

integrated with

Microsoft Entra

.

Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to ensure automation aligns with business needs. Document workflows, processes, and best practices for long-term maintainability.

Who we're looking for

At Reapit, we prioritise hiring individuals who share our values and possess the right attitudes and behaviours for success.

Whilst all the listed qualities are desirable, don't worry if you don't meet all of them, we'd still like to hear from you.

A

senior-level AWS Infrastructure / DevOps engineer

with a track record of modernising and automating mature systems. Strong hands-on expertise with

AWS services

RDS Aurora MySQL, S3, SES, EFS, IAM, Lambda, API Gateway (plus others in a production environment). Proven experience with

Infrastructure as Code

(Terraform, AWS CDK, Ansible, Python-based automation). Skilled in designing

end-to-end automation workflows

with CI/CD, monitoring, and self-service capabilities. Experience integrating

Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)

for authentication/authorisation and role-based access control. Strong background in

logging, alerting, and observability

(e.g., CloudWatch, OpenSearch, ELK). Comfortable working autonomously to deliver large projects end-to-end. Excellent communication skills for working with both technical engineers and semi-technical operators. A contract-focused engineer who is

outcome-driven

and leaves behind maintainable solutions.
