Your role

As a Azure Data Engineer, you will work closely with business stakeholders and data analysts and will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines

• design, build and maintain data pipelines using Azure technologies such as Azure Data Factory or Azure Databricks.
• extract, transform and load data from variety of sources, including on-premises databases, cloud-based data stores
• implement data processing and transformation logic using SQL or Python (PySpark)
• collaborate with data analysts and business stakeholders to understand their data needs and develop solutions to meet those needs.
• monitor and optimize data pipelines to ensure they are running efficiently and effectively
• adhere to data governance and security controls to ensure data integrity and compliance with company policies and industry regulations
• stay up-to-date with latest Azure technologies and best practices in data engineering
• work in Agile team

Your team

In our agile operating model, crews are aligned to larger products and services fulfilling client needs and encompass multiple autonomous pods. You\'ll be working in the one of the pods in London, UK that sits within the wider Operations Enablement team. Our pod focuses on delivering value to our business clients in Group Legal by building sustainable and efficient cloud based solutions on by leveraging modern technologies

Your expertise

• university degree in Computer science or equivalent
• solid experience as a data engineer or a related role
• good knowledge on Agile methodology
• proficiency in Azure technologies such as Azure Data Factory or Azure Data bricks
• experience building enterprise Data warehouse/data mart using SQL Server/Oracle/snowflake
• experience with ETL/ELT processes using Azure Data Factory or Azure Databricks
• experience with Python, PySpark and SparkSQL
• experience with DevOps & CICD ( GitLab/Jenkins )
• strong Problem solving and root cause analysis skills
• familiarity with Azure Infrastructure Setup is a plus
• familiarity with BI Reporting Tools like Micro Strategy, Power BI is a plus
• curious to learn modern technologies and practices, reuse strategic platforms and standards, evaluate options, and make decisions with long-term sustainability in mind
