Managing the scanning of packages or pallets to your delivery vehicle. Managing the safe and secure loading of all consignments to your vehicle (where applicable). Conducting daily diligence on vehicle safety checks and refrigeration unit on vehicle. Reporting any issues found on the vehicle checks to the line manager prior to dispatch. Ensure the vehicle is always at the correct temperature. Delivering and collection of pharmaceutical consignments to addresses including GP Surgeries, Retail Pharmacies, Hospitals, Wholesalers and Home Delivery Patients. Physical checking and scanning of all consignments at the delivery point. Communicating all operational delays or delivery failures to the Line Manager as soon as possible. Correct completion of EPOD/ driver manifest/collection/refusal paperwork. Managing the returns process of all consignments entering the local depot by scanning them to the forwarding depots. Maintain the cleanliness of the company vehicle provided to the driver, including cabs and chambers. Maintain the cleanliness of the company uniform and ensure correct PPE is worn i.e. safety shoes and Hi Viz vests. Ensure a valid driving license is maintained and communication of any new offences are reported. Driving as per your planned schedule. Lifting and carrying of goods ensuring that all manual handling procedures are always adhered to. Communicate any patient concerns i.e. Pharmacovigilance.
Additional tasks may be requested by the Line Manager appropriate to the skills and responsibilities of a B Licence driver.
Delivery of consignments on an accurate and timely basis ensuring the product stays within the required temperature range. Following of all relevant procedures outlined in the current Standard Operating Procedures/Driver briefings. Reporting all accidents and vehicle breakdowns to the Team Leader or Depot Manager and follow the recovery instructions as directed. Ensure that road traffic laws and rules are always observed.
Any driving penalties received must be reported to management immediately.
