Affinity Flying Training Services are seeking a

self-motivated Licensed Aircraft Engineer (B1)

to join our Part 145 team at

RAF Valley

. In this role, you will support both Line and Base maintenance activities, supervise Technicians, and demonstrate flexibility in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Affinity Flying Services are contracted as the Fixed Wing Service Provider under the UKMFTS PFI Contract. We will provide Aircraft to be used by the Military to deliver Elementary Flying Training (EFT) and Multi Engine Flying Training with both EASA and MAA Part M and Part 145 approvals across multiple sites.

Candidates must hold a CAA B1.1 Aircraft Maintenance Licence.

This is a full-time permanent position, Monday to Friday, on a rotating early and late shift pattern basis.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform and certify routine and non-routine maintenance, including defect rectification, in compliance with CAA & MAA regulatory requirements. Update maintenance records using company maintenance software. Supervise and guide Technicians, monitoring performance and ensuring quality standards. Support Affinity operations as required. Promote and adhere to company Quality and Health & Safety procedures.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

UK CAA Part 66 B1 Licence. Experience in a UK CAA Part 145 environment. Proven experience supervising staff. Ability to acquire UK security clearance. Full UK driving licence. Experience certifying maintenance within Line and Base environments. Strong knowledge of UK CAA Part 145 regulations and Aviation Safety Management Systems (SMS).

Desirable Qualifications:

UK CAA Part 66 License C Rating. Initial Human Factors, SMS, EWIS, Fuel Tank Safety training. Holds Type Approval on company aircraft.

Skills & Behaviours:

Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. Strong team player with proactive, solution-oriented approach. Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a diverse team. Fluent in English (written and verbal).
