Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the development and well-being of young children. Your leadership skills will be essential in managing daily activities and fostering positive relationships with both children and their families.

Duties

Provide high-quality care and education to children in the nursery setting. Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning through play. Observe and assess children's progress, ensuring their individual needs are met. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's development. Maintain a safe, clean, and organised environment for children to explore and learn. Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive team atmosphere. Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and transitions between activities. Drive initiatives that enhance the nursery's educational offerings and community involvement.

Qualifications

Proven experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting. Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and practices. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to lead by example, demonstrating effective management skills within the nursery environment. A passion for childcare and the ability to inspire young learners. Relevant qualifications in early childhood education or childcare are desirable but not essential. A valid driving licence is advantageous for potential off-site activities or outings.

Pay: 12.45-12.50 per hour
