We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Shift Leader to oversee daily operations and ensure a high standard of care and education for children. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, along with experience in childcare settings. This role is pivotal in fostering a nurturing environment while guiding staff and engaging with children effectively.
Responsibilities
Supervise and support staff during shifts, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
Facilitate effective communication among team members, parents, and children.
Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children.
Conduct regular assessments of children's progress and communicate findings to parents.
Manage daily operations, including scheduling staff and overseeing resources.
Provide guidance and support to staff in handling challenging behaviours or situations.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the nursery setting.
Qualifications
Proven experience in a leadership role within a childcare or educational setting.
Strong management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
Experience working with children, particularly in early childhood education or nursery environments.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
A valid driving licence is preferred for transportation needs related to the role.
