Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Baby room leader to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will lead and inspire a team of nursery staff while ensuring the highest standards of care and education. The candidate must have a minimum qualification of childcare level 3 with 2 years of work experience. This post is room based and term time.

Responsibilities

- Manage daily operations of the nursery room
- Communicate effectively with staff, parents, and children
- Drive continuous improvement in childcare practices
- Oversee educational programmes and activities
- Ensure a safe and nurturing environment for children
- Support management in administrative tasks and the running of the nursery

A sound understanding of child development and children's needs.

The ability to carry out observations to a high standard and in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage.

Good oral and written communication skills.

An ability to engage with parents in respect of their child's development.

Good customer awareness.

Ability to work as a member of a team and on own initiative.

Previous supervision experience

Skills

Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Proven experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting. Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices. Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining attention to detail. A passion for childcare with a commitment to providing high-quality education and care.
