We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Leader to oversee daily operations within our childcare facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a passion for working with children. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment, and maintaining high standards of childcare. Duties

Supervise and coordinate daily activities within the nursery or childcare setting Lead and motivate team members to deliver high-quality care and educational programmes Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times Support staff in planning age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and external agencies regarding children's progress and needs Manage scheduling, attendance, and rota organisation for team members Assist with the organisation of special events or programmes as required Maintain accurate records related to children's development, attendance, and incident reports Drive company vehicles when necessary for errands or transporting children safely

Requirements

Proven management or leadership experience within a childcare or nursery environment Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and child development Experience working with children, ideally within nursery or early years settings Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written Ability to lead, motivate, and support a team effectively Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently Valid driving licence for vehicle operation when required Passion for working with children and creating a positive environment for their growth and learning
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
