Minimum of 2 years experience working with children aged 9 months - 2 years.

Up to date Paediatric First Aid certificate.

Up to date Safeguarding training.

Two references will be required and a DBS check carried out.
Role Responsibilities

Be able to create a nurturing and developmentally enriching environment for our youngest children.
.
Be able to demonstrate strong leadership, mentorship and teamwork skills. You will work closely with the other adults in the room. You will contribute to the planning and executing a variety of age-appropriate activities that encourage the learning and development of our youngest children.

You will maintain a safe and stimulating environment ensuring compliance with Health and Safety standards.
.
You will have your own key children within the group, ensuring that the children's information is kept up to date, including Interests and Next Steps.
.
You will be responsible for writing Two Year Checks and Transition reports.
.
Conduct regular observations of the children and record them on the online learning journal using the Development Matters document.
.
Form positive relationships with parents/carers and liaise with them at the beginning and end of the day regarding their children's progress and personal development and encourage parent/carer involvement.
.
To liaise with other professionals when required.
.
Meet the physical needs of the children ( nappy changing, sleep routines etc ) and have a sound knowledge of Safe Sleep practices.
.
Supervising snack times and lunchtimes, assisting in the preparation of baby bottles, when required, and snacks. Ensuring dietary and cultural needs are met and consideration is given to allergy requirements.

Setting up the playroom at the end of the day ready for the next session, with age appropriate play and learning opportunities, according to the children's needs and interests.
.
Support children's transition to the next phase of their nursery journey.
.
Help to ensure the cleanliness of the nursery.
.
Ensure confidentiality at all times with regards to the children, parents and staff.
.
Actively participate in staff meetings, training and professional development to stay updated with the latest best practices.
.
Undertake other duties as reasonably requested by the Nursery management team.
