Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Baby Room Leader to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for early childhood education. The candidate must have knowledge of working with under 2's and relevant training. As a Room Leader, you will be responsible for managing daily operations, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children, and guiding staff in delivering high-quality childcare services. This role requires effective communication skills in English and the ability to engage with children and their families.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise staff during assigned shifts, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures. Manage daily activities within the nursery, fostering a positive atmosphere for both children and staff. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their children's progress and any concerns. Drive initiatives that enhance the educational experience for children, promoting early childhood development. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe environment for all. Support the professional development of team members through coaching and mentoring. Assist in planning and implementing engaging activities that cater to children's interests and developmental needs.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a leadership role within a childcare or nursery setting is preferred. Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and practices. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining a calm demeanour under pressure. Experience working with children in an educational or childcare environment is essential. A genuine passion for nurturing children's growth and development is crucial. Relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Education or Childcare are essential.
