We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Level 3 Qualified Baby Room Practitioner to join our childcare team. This role is essential in providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for infants and toddlers. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid background in early childhood education. You will be responsible for managing the care and development of children in our nursery, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and growth.
Duties
Provide high-quality childcare in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Create and implement engaging activities that promote learning and development for children aged 13 months-24 months (total of 6 children per day).
Manage daily routines, including feeding, nappy changing, and nap times, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment.
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
Lead a small team of nursery assistants, providing guidance and support to ensure best practices are followed.
Maintain accurate records of children's development and milestones.
Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social skills and emotional development.
Drive initiatives that enhance the nursery's environment and practices.
Requirements
Level 3 qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent.
Proven experience working with young children in a nursery or similar setting.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
A genuine passion for childcare and early childhood education.
Ability to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere for children and families.
Knowledge of child development theories and practices related to infants and toddlers.
A proactive approach to driving improvements within the nursery environment.
