WE ARE LOOKING FOR AN EXPERIENCED ROOM MANAGER TO JOIN OUR NURSERY!!

We are currently looking to recruit a room manager to work at Harbour View Kindergarten (Recently known as Buttercups and Child's play nursery) Situated on Station Road, Seaham.

Qualifications and experience

Level 3 or equivalent childcare qualification (required)

Room Manager experience preferred

Good understanding of the EYFS and aware of new requirements (required)

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the daily activities within the nursery or childcare setting, ensuring smooth operations. Supervise and support childcare staff, providing guidance and mentorship to foster a cohesive team. Maintain high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organisation within the facility. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, behaviour, and any concerns. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and early childhood education standards. Foster a positive environment that promotes learning, socialisation, and emotional wellbeing among children. Assist with administrative duties such as record keeping, reporting incidents, and maintaining documentation.

Qualifications

Proven experience in childcare settings such as nurseries or early childhood education environments. Strong management and leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Experience working with children across various age groups is highly desirable. Childcare qualifications or early childhood education certifications are essential. Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and health & safety regulations relevant to childcare settings. Ability to organise tasks efficiently whilst prioritising safety and quality standards. Pay: 25,960.59-28,153.43 per year
