Due to expansion, we are seeking 2 compassionate and dedicated Baby Room Practitioners to join our early childhood education team. The working week will comprise of 3 days and will be approximately 16-20 hours per week. This is a term time only role. Although, some flexibility is needed to cover the occasional day during the half term holidays. This role involves providing a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment for infants and toddlers, supporting their developmental milestones through attentive caregiving and educational activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, childcare, and experience working with young children, including infants and toddlers. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's growth and learning during their formative years.
Responsibilities
Provide attentive care to infants and toddlers, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being at all times
Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development
Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
Monitor and document each child's progress, and developmental milestones
Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate daily updates and address any concerns or needs
Follow all health and safety guidelines, including first aid procedures when necessary
Support children with disabilities or special needs by adapting activities and providing inclusive care
Assist with nappy, feeding, nap times, and other routine caregiving tasks
Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, classroom management, and caregiving best practices
Skills
Experience with children in nursery, preschool, or classroom settings.
Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices in childcare
Strong understanding of behavior management techniques suitable for young children
First aid certification is preferred but not essential.
Excellent communication skills for collaborating with parents, guardians, and team members
Ability to create a nurturing environment that fosters learning through play and exploration.
Compassionate caregiver with patience, flexibility, and a genuine love for working with children
