We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Baby Room Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and experience working with young children. This role involves creating a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for babies aged 3 months to 2 years, ensuring their developmental needs are met through engaging activities and attentive care.
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality care for babies in a safe and welcoming environment.
Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development.
Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's progress and daily experiences.
Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the baby room, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive team approach to childcare.
Support the management team in maintaining nursery standards and policies.
Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their exploration and learning through play.
Requirements
Previous experience in childcare or nursery settings.
A qualification in Early Childhood Education or a related field is essential.
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
A genuine love for working with children and understanding their developmental needs.
A proactive attitude towards professional development and continuous learning in childcare practices.
The position is full time working 38.75 hours per week between the hours of 7:30 am and 6:00 pm with 28 days holiday per year inclusive of bank holidays. We will also consider qualified practitioners looking for part time hours.
Starting salary is dependent on experience and qualifications.
