Job Description

Thomas Gray Primary School are looking to appoint a Baby Room Teaching Assistant to work within the early years phase.

Main Duties and Responsibilities include:

Support the planning and delivery of engaging and age-appropriate activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework Provide a caring, safe, and stimulating environment for babies Observe, monitor, and record children's development and progress, sharing information with colleagues and parents/carers as appropriate Support children's personal, social, and emotional development Assist with feeding, changing, and comforting babies in accordance with individual routines Maintain a clean, tidy, and organised baby room environment Work collaboratively with colleagues, contributing to team meetings and planning sessions Ensure the highest standards of health, safety, and hygiene are maintained at all times Follow all school policies and procedures, including those relating to safeguarding and child protection

Qualifications and Training

Level 2 qualification in Childcare/Early Years or equivalent Paediatric First Aid certificate (or willingness to obtain) Evidence of ongoing professional development relevant to the role

Experience

Previous experience working with babies in an early years or childcare setting Experience of implementing EYFS principles in practice

Pay: 25,583.00-25,989.00 per year
