ABOUT THE ROLE


In the role of Back of House Manager, your key focus will be to:

set all standards and policies of the department and maintain them at all times eg hotel operating system, polishing of silverware and inventories of operating equipment ensure high levels of hygiene and sanitation are maintained at all times throughout the back of house areas conduct weekly property inspections with manager of the night contract cleaning company to ensure the set standards are maintained conduct regular back of house inspections with representation from maintenance and the hotel's Health & Safety office to proactively ensure high levels of cleanliness and equipment safety are maintained comply with local rules and regulations (City of Westminster EHO guidelines), in particular to hygiene and health and safety comply with health and safety matters and actively contribute and support the hotel's sustainability and environmental practices ensure high productivity and flexibility within the department and promote effective co-operation within own areas and with other departments establish and maintain a personnel management system including induction, training and career development adhere to the ordering system and follow up to ensure that stock levels are maintained at the agreed levels and areas of concern or shortages are brought to the attention of the Executive Chef in a timely manner

ABOUT YOU

previous similar experience in a 5 hotel with a large banqueting operation and outlet restaurants
experience with ownership of KPIs, P&L, performance management of team excellent leadership, organisational and motivational skills excellent attention to detail ability to multi-task, work under pressure and prioritise needs excellent interpersonal and communication skills experience in developing a diverse team good knowledge of HACCP and COSSH
