You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams--engineering, product, and data science--to deliver robust and performant backend services that support both internal applications and customer-facing products.
Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain backend services using
Python (FastAPI, Alembic, etc.)
Build and deploy infrastructure using
AWS CloudFormation
and modern
IaC practices
Develop and scale services on
AWS Lambda, ECS, and EKS
Manage
API Gateway
,
SQS
, and integrations with cloud-native services
Ensure high availability and performance in
high-traffic, distributed systems
Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting with
Grafana, Prometheus, and CloudWatch
Optimize relational databases, schema migrations, and query performance
Conduct
load testing, stress testing, and performance tuning
to ensure scalability
Apply best practices for CI/CD, automated testing, and deployment pipelines
Collaborate with AI/ML teams on integrations with platforms like
OpenAI, Anthropic, and other LLM-based services
Drive improvements in system reliability, fault tolerance, and security
Qualifications
Required
4+ years of professional backend engineering experience (mid-senior level)
Strong programming skills in
Python
Hands-on experience with
AWS services
: CloudFormation, Lambda, ECS, EKS, API Gateway, SQS
Experience managing
Postgres
in production, including schema migrations
Proven ability to design and operate
scalable, high-traffic architectures
Familiarity with
DevOps workflows
: CI/CD, automated testing, infrastructure as code
Proficiency in
monitoring/observability
with Prometheus, Grafana, and related tools
Solid understanding of system performance optimization and load testing
Nice to Have
Experience integrating with
LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.)
Knowledge of container orchestration beyond AWS (Kubernetes best practices, Helm)
Experience with data streaming and event-driven architectures
Contributions to open-source projects or technical community involvement
