Overview

At Inniovate, we are seeking a skilled, experienced Back End Developer to join us on our mission to be global leaders in the space of outdoors security systems and control. We are a small team, with big, global ambitions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for further developing and maintaining server-side applications, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front end. This role requires a strong understanding of various programming languages and frameworks, as well as experience with database management and API integration.

Requirements:

Minimum 5 years work experience, or a demonstrated ability in backend development for own projects Strong Node.js + TypeScript experience Experience with socket.io / WebSockets Good grasp of REST API design (auth, error handling, versioning basics) Comfort with Redis (pub/sub, caching, queues) Deep Experience with SQL & relational databases (AWS RDS / MySQL preferred) Experience with message/job queues (Bee Queue, SQS, etc.) Solid with logging & observability (structured logs, metrics, alerts) Experience with AWS services (RDS, Lambda, IoT Core a plus) and a solid understanding of networking on AWS(VPCs, subnets, NAT gateways, VPNs) Comfortable working in a small, fast-moving team

Nice to have:

Exposure to IoT systems (firmware interaction, constraints of physical devices, debugging connectivity issues). Familiarity with real-time mobile app comms Experience with third-party API integrations (robust error handling, rate limits, retries, monitoring). Monitoring & alerting Experience with API versioning & backward compatibility
The successful candidate much have a demonstrated ability to write clean, maintainable code following best practices in software development. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 30,000.00-50,000.00 per year
