This is a Hybrid role working from our Scottish offices 2 days a week

who excels in

application support and optimisation

. You'll be instrumental in ensuring the stability, performance, and ongoing evolution of our clients' established applications, playing a key role in their long-term success.

What You'll Do:



Application Stewardship:

Primarily focus on

.NET-based applications

, providing robust support, diagnosing complex issues, and implementing timely enhancements to existing systems.

Technical Problem Solving:

Independently lead the resolution of intricate technical challenges, using strong diagnostics and meticulous code analysis to identify root causes and deliver effective solutions.

Dynamic Context Switching:

Comfortably manage work across

multiple clients

, quickly adapting to diverse application landscapes, priorities, and business needs.

Component Development:

Design and implement high-quality, maintainable software components, actively contributing to architectural discussions.

Collaborative Delivery:

Work seamlessly within

Agile frameworks

, managing your tasks effectively and collaborating across disciplines to achieve project goals.

Continuous Improvement:

Proactively identify and resolve impediments within application lifecycles, proposing and implementing solutions aligned with best practices.

Version Control Mastery:

Expertly utilize

Git

for branching, merging, and conflict resolution, contributing to team best practices.

What We're Looking For:



.NET Proficiency (Essential):

Proven professional experience with

.NET technologies

in a backend development capacity.

Application Support Mindset:

A strong aptitude and desire for application support and product optimisation work, with a focus on delivering quick and effective contributions.

Diagnostic & Code Analysis Skills:

Demonstrated ability to perform strong diagnostics and meticulous code analysis.

Infrastructure & Cloud Exposure (Highly Desirable):

Experience with infrastructure and cloud platforms like

Azure

.

Technical Versatility:

Mid-level proficiency in multiple languages, frameworks, and tools relevant to backend development.

Agile Practitioner:

Proficient in Agile principles and methodologies, actively contributing to sprints and team performance.

Version Control Expert:

Proficient in version control systems, adept at managing branching strategies and collaborative workflows.

Problem Solver & Collaborator:

You proactively contribute to team discussions, take ownership of tasks, and adapt to changing project requirements.

Bonus Points For:




+ Experience with

Web Technologies and/or Umbraco

+ An interest in

Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and DevOps principles

to enhance maintainability.
