Robert Half Technology are assisting a prestigious market leading financial services organisation to recruit a Backend Developer on a contract basis - London based - start ASAP
Role
- The Backend Developer will support and maintain legacy .NET and SQL-based applications critical to front-office operations.
- Collaborate with a small, focused team to deliver a large-scale transformation project.
- Assist in rebuilding and replacing front-office systems with modern architecture.
- Address and resolve daily internal requests while contributing to the broader project roadmap.
- Work across two distinct ecosystems, balancing BAU and forward-looking platform development.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of new solutions, with potential use of Azure, Databricks, and Python for cloud and data processing tasks.
- The Backend Developer will have strong expertise in .NET / C# development.
- Advanced SQL skills, including performance tuning and working with large datasets.
- Experience working with legacy systems and modernising them.
- Solid understanding of order management, trade lifecycle, confirmations, and general front-office operations.
- Ability to function in a lean team and handle both BAU and project work efficiently.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills in live/production environments.
- Understanding of trading, market data
- Market leading financial services organisation with offices in London
- On site required
- Outside IR35
